The Muller Company maintains a strong commitment to sustainable business practices; both in its own offices and at the properties it manages. These measures are designed to reduce our environmental impact in the course of doing business.
Green Practices Include:
- Promotion of Energy Star certification.
- Promotion of energy minded building standards include variable speed drives, occupancy motion sensors, EMS controls and energy efficient lighting.
- Implementation of recycling programs.
- Lighting retrofitting to meet or exceed energy conservation standards.
- Promotion of green-clean janitorial services and janitorial products are green-seal certified.
- Company-wide reduction of paper waste by utilizing online paperless work order programs, electronic distribution of literature and forms, report tracking and security reporting.
- All corporate marketing materials are designed to produce minimum waste and are printed on certified FSC paper.
- Promote the use of native plants to enhance sustainability
- Review and audit electrical rate plans to ensure the best plan is in place
- Continuing education programs to keep employees and service providers informed about new developments in sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Continued LEED education and certification, including the development of an 80,000 sf LEED office building in Orange County, California.
